At Walmart, we take the well-being of our employees and customers seriously. We're on the hunt for a Health and Safety Compliance Specialist who will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, compliance, and welfare of our team and customers.
Your Role:
As a Health and Safety Compliance Specialist, you'll be at the front lines of safeguarding our workplace and ensuring that we meet industry-specific and OSHA guidelines. Your mission includes conducting safety audits, addressing health and safety concerns, and being the go-to person for worker's compensation issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implements and enforces industry-specific and OSHA guidelines.
- Conducts compliance, safety, and food safety audits and reviews.
- Monitors and reports employee health and safety issues.
- Coordinates emergency response and evacuation plans.
- Acts as an advocate for employee welfare and worker's compensation.
- Creates detailed audit reports to guide improvements.
Required Qualifications:
- 1 year's work experience or coursework in a safety, compliance, or security-related field (e.g., Military, Public Safety, Compliance, Criminal Justice) OR
- 6 months experience as a Walmart associate.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; SharePoint and OneDrive.
Wage & Benefits:
Full-Time Position: Start your journey with us at $20.95-$24.45/hr**. Your dedication will be rewarded with wage progressions, including $0.50 increases at 90, 180, 360, 540, 720 days, and $1/hr at 900 days.
